In the winter months, manatees will swim upriver for warmer waters. You'll have your choice of gorgeous Gulf beaches to explore with several just a short drive from the home, including Englewood Beach (30 mi.), Venice Beach (34 mi.), Siesta Key Beach (48 mi.), Ft. Myers Beach (53 mi.), and Naples Beach (72 mi.). Punta Gorda's downtown offers plenty of entertainment closer to home with tons of great bars, restaurants, and vibrant nightlife less than 10 miles away. The Fishermans Village waterfront area features great shops, breweries, and off-shore charter services.
