The original cabin, built in 1956, is one of the older homes in the area. Over the years, it has been updated with custom nautical-style cabinets. In 2020, Hurricane Sally caused substantial damage, but the home has since been repaired while maintaining some of its old charm. Located directly on Mobile Bay, the cabin boasts a 150-foot private pier that was updated in 2022. Guests can enjoy fishing for blue crabs, speckled trout, and redfish, while often witnessing spectacular dolphin shows. The sunrises and sunsets from this serene and secluded location in Fort Morgan, Alabama are truly exceptional.
Fort Morgan is situated at the westernmost end of the peninsula, surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico to the south and Mobile Bay to the west, ending at Mobile Point. Although Fort Morgan has a Gulf Shores mailing address, it is actually an unincorporated part of Baldwin County. For years, Fort Morgan has fought to maintain its natural, pristine, and uncrowded character, distinct from the more developed Gulf Shores area.
