Welcome to Camp Manatee! This gorgeous estate sits on 2.5 acres along the scenic Santa Fe River. With over 600 feet of river access on the property, you will enjoy the beautiful river views on the private dock or the wraparound porch.
Plenty of room to bring your RV, boat, etc!
We offer tubes and kayaks for guests to use during their stay.
Guests visiting in the winter months may catch a glimpse of our favorite manatee visitors!
The Space:
Camp Manatee is a stilt home with all the major living areas upstairs (please note that you will need to climb up a flight of stairs to enter the home.) There are three spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms, as well as a fully-equipped kitchen and dining table. The living area has comfortable leather couches and faces the river. You are sure to catch some lovely river views along the wraparound porch off the back of the home. Downstairs, there is an open-air recreation area with seating. There are three TVs, all equipped with streaming services for you to stream your favorite shows during your stay.
Our property also features an additional 25 acres of vacant land adjacent to the property, just across the Santa Fe River. If you are looking to relax and get back in touch with nature, this is a must-visit spot for you!
Guest Access:
There is plenty of free parking onsite. Up to six cars would be able to park in the driveway. Camp Manatee is gated.
Guests will also have access to kayaks, tubes, paddles, life jackets, and wetsuits.
Guests staying 7 nights or longer - please reach out to our team for more information regarding additional amenities that may be available to you for longer visits to Camp Manatee!
Our home is pet friendly with an additional fee of $50 per pet. We permit a maximum of two pets.
Other details to note:
There is wildlife all around you at Camp Manatee – on land and in the river. You may see deer, wild hogs, turkeys, squirrels, snakes, and rabbits during your visit. Some of the wildlife may be dangerous, and we advise all guests to be aware of their surroundings while on the property. Please note that our home is in a camp-like setting and guests may encounter bugs including ticks or fleas. We do have a pest control company that regularly services the property.
Please be advised that we have security cameras to monitor the exterior of the home.
Camp Manatee is tucked into a quiet neighborhood in Fort White, Florida. A community built around the Santa Fe River, most homes are vacation homes of residents around Florida.
There are dozens of springs and parks within a short distance from our home, including the magical Ichetucknee River within walking/kayaking distance.
For guests bringing boats, jet skis, and other water toys - there are several public boat launches into the majestic Santa Fe or the historic Suwannee River in close proximity.
The Santa Fe River is fed by 36 named major springs. Countless other unnamed minor and micro springs dot the river just waiting to be found and explored!

You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising from swimming in the river and use of the kayaks and the tree swing and hold owner harmless. You understand there are potential dangers that swimming in the river and the use of kayaks and the tree swing may present to children who are not carefully supervised, as well as the danger to any person swimming, or using the kayaks or the tree swing if a person has health risks, or if a person swims, or uses the kayaks and tree swing while intoxicated or using any kind of drugs or medication, or while pregnant. You agree to be fully and be solely responsible for any accidents you may incur in the use of these items. You understand the risks discussed above and agree that you will assume all responsibility for yourself and for the consequences of those in your party. You agree to waive any claim whatsoever against owner for accidents or claims arising from swimming in the river, using the kayaks. All guests in your party acknowledge and agree that they have read and understand this waiver and they acknowledge that booking constitutes a binding and enforceable contract between Guests and Host.
