Welcome to 217 Fairweather #1. This unique adobe style private home consists of two separate units that have shared laundry facilities, and is conveniently located on the north end of Fort Myers Beach in a quiet residential neighborhood. It has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. You will love the location of this home and the convenience of being able to walk to everything during your stay. This home is located a short 3-4 minute walk down the street from The Shamrock Irish Pub on Estero Boulevard, and the corner store and a trolley stop. Just a short walk across the boulevard will have your toes running through the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico and its 7 miles of sugar white sand beach. You can walk or hop on the trolley to Times Square to fish off the pier, dine at the restaurants, and shop at one of the many beach shops. Don't forget to get an evening treat of ice cream at Royal Scoop, morning breakfast and coffee at Heavenly Biscuit, and lunch at the Tuckaway Cafe.
Enter this vacation home through a gate into a private, walled open pavered courtyard area with chimenea. There is off street parking, and a pavered sidewalk leading to the gate that opens into the walled patio area. Upon entering the front door you find yourself in the living room, dining and kitchen area. There is terra cotta tile flooring throughout, beautiful exposed wood-beamed ceilings, and decor is beachy/nautical.
The living room is warmly furnished with a leather sofa with end table and lamp, as well as coffee table. There is an overstuffed rocker/recliner, and opposite the seating area is a wall-mounted large flat screen TV for your entertainment needs.
To the right of the living room is a guest bedroom furnished with two single beds with rattan headboards, night stand and lamp, as well as a 5-drawer chest with flat screen TV. There is ample closet space, and this room has a window that overlooks the front courtyard with plantation shutters. A ceiling fan adds to your comfort.
Back out into the living room and straight ahead is the cozy dining area with drop leaf table seating two, with an extra chair.
Adjacent to the dining area is the kitchen which has tile countertops and backsplash, as well as a tiled peninsular bar with three high-boy barstools on the living room side. Appliances include a 4-burner glass-top range with self-cleaning oven, built-in above range microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator/freezer with icemaker. All the necessary items are available to whip up a full course meal, or just coffee in the morning. There is a rectangular stainless steel sink, above which is a window with plantation shutters which looks out over the side of the property. The kitchen also has a ceiling fan.
Leaving the kitchen and to the right down a hallway, first on the right is the bathroom, with combination tub/shower, commode, and vanity with lavatory with storage space beneath. There is also a ceiling fan in here.
Back into the hallway and further to the right is the master bedroom which is furnished with a king-size bed, night stands and lamps, a triple dresser with flat screen TV on top, and a corner captain's chair. Two windows with plantation shutters add to the bright and airy feeling. One window looks out towards the front of the house to the street, and the other window overlooks the open front courtyard. There is ample closet space, as well as a ceiling fan.
Up for an adventure while on vacation? Be close to all the action of Times Square here. Charter boats, jet-skis, and parasailing rentals are within walking distance. Take pleasure in a day trip on the Key West Ferry. Music aficionados can catch up-and-coming local artists at one of the many beach taverns, or actually participate in various karaoke sessions offered locally. Don't want to drive? Hop the Beach Trolley at the stop on the corner of Estero Blvd. and you can explore a wide variety of retail shops, local tourism sites and eateries that Estero Island has to offer. The trolley runs regularly between Fort Myers Beach and Bonita Springs.
