2 Bedroom House in Caldwell
This is a 900 Sq. Ft. Dog friendly house with high ceilings, two bedrooms one bath inside (2nd bathroom with shower in garage) with central AC and heat. Our house is on eight acres of unfenced property with large trees, open fields and a pond. We have an area behind the house that we have fenced in for our fur babies or yours. (Extra fee 50.00 per pup)for your pups) we do have a TV with basic Satellite service and no Internet. We have not had a problem with accessing.
We also have a large covered area that a RV or trailer can be parked. There is electric hook up and water but no sewage dumping sight available on property. (extra fee per night of 25.00 to have RV) Guests must be also renting the home.
Our house was built in the 1940s in an area of Houston called “The Heights”. It was moved up to this eight acres of land in Caldwell in the early 2000’s and has remained in its original form with a few comforts added. Everything from the beautiful cherry wood trim, and doors to the squeaky wooden floors is original.
There is a comfortable queen bed in room one and comfy full bed in room two. There is a queen size air mattress that can be put in the main room. There is a small but fully equipped kitchen with an electric stove, small refrigerator, microwave, dishes, silverware and a variance of appliances. NO Dishwasher and NO Washer & Dryer. In house there is a bathroom with a big comfy claw foot bathtub (has a handheld sprayer ) and in the closet there are towels,washcloths, extra sheets and other amenities that you may have forgotten. Off of the garage there is a nice patio and a basic gas grill that you’re welcome to use. Also the solar lights will come on at dusk and provide a great place to hang out. If it’s chilly you can build a fire in the pit. There’s a small deck off of the back of the house with a ramp that leads to the garage where there is also a shower room with a Utility sink and a toilet.
There is a pond on the back part of the property. If you want to give fishing a try we ask that you catch and release at this time. It’s not a swimming pond. If you wade in or decide to cool off in the water then that is at your own risk. The property has a nice mixture of woods and pasture areas and you’re free to roam and explore, but please remember that it is the country and there is always a chance that you meet up with some of the wild life especially at night. This is a NO Hunting/Shooting property. Due to the fact that our property is so small we also do not allow ATVs, go Karts, dirt bikes, mini bikes etc. Please do not go beyond any of the barbed wire fences that are in place since that is other ranchers property in the area.
We love sitting on our front porch at night and having a cold drink while looking at the beautiful Texas Sky full of stars…(No city lights here😀)
