Melbourne Village began after it was founded by three women post-WWII who moved to the area with the dream of building a self-sufficient community of homesteaders. From humble beginnings, a general store was built on the honor system, and a dedication to homegrown organic produce was nurtured, with a strong sense of community.
Now, over 75 years later and cradled by over 50 acres of parkland, Melbourne Village is a friendly enclave with a small-town feel and community.
