A perfect lake house getaway for a family or group of friends to enjoy all that Lake Placid has to offer. The lake house is located in a quiet neighborhood, off the main road, on the west-side shore of Lake Placid. Unique property has lots of privacy (no next-door neighbors) and a great view of the lake. The house is across the street from the lake and sits about 200 feet away from the deeded beach access. Private beach is shared by homeowners on our small street and is never crowded. You may anchor your fishing or ski boat for the day or overnight and run up to the house for lunch or bathroom breaks. The beach is great for setting up beach chairs to catch some rays or play in the water. The boat ramp is just about a mile down the road.
The main living space is located upstairs in this two-story house. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and a private half bathroom. The guest bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a view of the lake. The third bedroom is set up as the "kids' room" with two twin beds. There is a full bathroom upstairs in the hallway as well as an additional full bathroom downstairs; accessed from the main screened-in patio.
The main living areas are under vaulted ceilings and offer lots of comfy couch space and a dining room table that seats 8 for meals or game nights. There is high-speed internet as well as a 47" TV with surround sound, basic cable (and HBO) and Apple TV for streaming shows or movies.
There is a large screened-in patio downstairs with plenty of seating under a ceiling fan as well as a screened in balcony upstairs with a great view of the lake.
The house is clean and comfortable with an old school "lake house" feel. The home has all the conveniences of a modern home (with the exception of a dishwasher). The kitchen is well-equipped with everything needed for cooking or baking with lots of pots, pans, baking dishes, dinnerware, utensils and cooking staples. There is a new Weber gas grill on the balcony (just outside of the dining room).
The house is stocked with beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, floaties, and plenty of board games.
Publix supermarket is a little over 6 miles away (about a 10 minute drive), as is downtown Lake Placid. Sebring is about 20 miles away, where all the big-named retailers can be found.
Note: There is a small private apartment with a separate entrance on the first level of the house that is not part of the rental. This apartment is occasionally used by the owner. As a courtesy, the owner will inform you via text or email if they will to be staying in the apartment anytime during your stay. (This unit is never rented.)
