2Poochies Properties invites you to Tigua's Sunrise, a new (2023) single story lakefront home overlooking an idyllic deep water cove on a pastoral region of Smith Lake. Cast yourself into the early morning sunrise gleaming over gold metal waters and enjoy an indelible fishing vacation.
Tigua is our newest pooch, rescued from the streets of Antigua when she was just 4 weeks old. Like the rising sun, she inspires us with her energy, hope and optimism each new day and the property aims to inject you with this attitude.
This home has a large master bedroom with king bed, attached bathroom with walk-in shower, sunken tub and walk-in closet. The master suite includes a Roku TV, dressers, night stands, a desk for workspace and large shuttered windows which flood the room with light.
The spacious living room has plenty of comfortable seating with a giant reclining couch and cushy reclining chair. Under the 68" TV you'll find books and games for all ages. There is free High Speed Spectrum internet (500 Mbps) with Wi-Fi for this property with many free channels including 75+ live Roku channels. You can also login with your own streaming account.
One guest bedroom has a queen bed, dresser, night stand, walk in closet and Roku TV. Another guest bedroom has two bunk beds, dresser, storage chests, bean bag chairs and walk in closet, which is ideal for kids. The guest bathroom is located between the two guest bedrooms and adjacent to the living room. This bathroom has a shower/tub combo, vanity with sink and under sink storage, a toilet and a nearby linen closet.
The well-stocked kitchen has plenty of counter space including a center island with extra seating. The dining room table can accommodate 6 people and the kitchen bar area has two padded stools. Adjacent to the dining room you will find a coffee station and a very functional laundry room with large capacity washer/dryer, unscented Tide pods and Bounce dryer sheets for your use.
The kitchen opens to the huge composite deck with several tables and chairs for eating, drinking and lounging. There is also a new gazebo with cooling fan directly outside the kitchen for entertaining rain or shine. Under the gazebo is a large 8 seat fire table and a new propane gas grill. We've also got a competition size custom corn hole set that you are welcome to use.
A 4-foot high gated fence encloses a beautifully landscaped yard with firepit area that is fenced so you can set some boundaries for the kids or pets as needed. The firepit area has a perfect view of the lake and Tigua's dock and there is plenty of firewood for her Guest's. There is a convenient pet "clean-up" station in this area as well.
Rustic flat stones lead from the deck to the dock stairs. You will wind down a switchback of 64 steps to get the dock ramp. Along the way there are 2 bench areas with unique scenic views of the cove to the east and the rocky hillside to the west. At the end of the dock ramp you will descend another 16 stairs to the dock platform. You will likely find kayaks, a brand new 2 person kayak available to rent and a variety of other water toys at the dock. As well as a brand NEW 22-foot Sun Tracker pontoon boat with 90 HP motor! This beautiful new boat is available for rent (additional fees apply) to Tigua's guests only. There is an extra boat slips and a jet ski port so you can bring your own toys and know they are safe while you relax at the house.
Tigua's front parking area has room for 3 or 4 standard to large sized vehicles. There is an additional driveway inside the circle drive for parking extra vehicles or your boat trailer. (45 ft total length max. for vehicle + trailer) There is a also a 50 amp plug for your RV or electric vehicle. The yard is well lit for your convenience if you arrive after dark.
You can bring your boat and launch it at Triple Creek Marina Boat Launch (closest) Duskin Bridge Marina Boat Launch, Smith Lake Dam Boat Launch, Smith Lake Park Boat Launch and dock it at Tigua’s.
Or you might prefer to use one of Tigua’s kayaks to get on the water. There are two 10-ft long, single person kayaks on the dock which are free for all Guests to use. There is also a new 12.5-ft tandem fishing kayak (550 lb capacity) for a one-time rental fee of $75.00.
Guests can fish from the dock. The water is usually clear and always deep – between 30 and 40 feet at the dock. You are welcome to play, swim, or fish from the dock deck. But there is absolutely no jumping from the walkway or from the top of the dock. If this happens and there are damages, you will be charged for those damages.
