The condo is tastefully decorated and it is fully equipped. All you will need is your luggage. All utilities are provided. The condo has been recently remodeled and painted. It has a lot of new furniture and bedding. Floors in the living/bedrooms are oak laminate with new area carpeting. The condo features cable TV, a new, large flat screen TV in the living room, WIFI and digital telephone with unlimited calling in the U.S Canada and Puerto Rico. The is a washer-dryer in the unit. There is a queen bed in the guest bedroom and two twin beds in the master. The condo has two full bathrooms. It is a first floor unit with a large screened patio overlooking a grassy area and a tennis court.
The complex is on shores of Lake Monroe which is part of the St. John's River a 300 mile long river that flows from South Florida into the Atlantic Ocean at Jacksonville, Florida. The complex is tropically wooded and very peaceful. The complex has tennis courts and a resort type swimming pool that is heated in winter. The pool has men's and ladies restrooms. The condo is within a two minute walk of a 5.7 mile long wooded bike/hiking trail. A short distance down the bike/hiking trail, is another tropically wooded trail that leads to a natural, 75 foot deep, aquifer fed spring called "Green Spring." This trail also leads to a covered picnic area with picnic tables, barbeques and restrooms.
The condo is midway between the Orlando theme parks and the ocean beaches, 30 mile either way. This location puts you closer to other tourist destinations beside the theme parks. Close to the condo are plenty of public access golf courses (within 10 miles), ocean beaches (30 miles), Blue Springs State Park (15 miles) where you can view manatees, different species of fish and alligators in an aquifer fed, crystal clear tributary that flows into the St. Johns River. Blue Springs has a swimming area where you can rent large tubes and float from the head of the spring back to the swimming area. You can also rent canoes and kayaks at Blue Springs or take a narrated, pontoon boat eco tour. Also nearby is the Daytona International Speedway and NASCAR exhibits (30 minutes), Cape Canaveral space center and museum (1 hour) and St. Augustine the oldest city in the U.S. founded in 1565 by the Spaniards (1 hour). If you like to fish, all day or half day deep sea fishing is available in nearby Ponce Inlet or New Smyrna Beach (40 minutes). If you like fresh water fishing, there is a boat ramp/fishing dock on Lake Monroe within walking distance from the condo.
During the winter months of January-March the condo is only rented on a monthly basis. The condo is rented on a weekly and monthly basis at all other times during the year. No more than 4 people can occupy the condo over night. Smoking is not permitted in the condo. The Condo Association does not allow pets, motorcycles or mopeds. There is a neighborhood shopping center 5 minutes from the condo that has a large grocery (Publix), several small eateries, a Dollar Store and miscellaneous shops. There is a large Shopping Mall and numerous chain shops such as Bed Bath and Beyond, Target, etc in Sanford just 15 minutes away. There are many popular restaurants, WalMart, Home Depot, Lowes, etc within a 15 minute drive from the condo.
