Summary: I have never given a bad review until now. I am the broker/owner of a residential real estate and property management company and have rented many many vrbos. I only rent very highly rated properties which this was when i rented. While my expectations are high I am also very low maintenance and understanding. After emailing, calling and texting the owner starting the day before check in, I received no responses, I finally got check in instructions literally 2 minutes before check in. You can imagine the stress of thinking you had no place to stay. Owner acted as if there was no big deal. After arriving to find a for sale sign in the front yard upon checking in, we were unpleasantly surprised to find very different inferior furnishings. One of the reasons I rented this property was the outdoor area. Those furnishings were switched out as well. There were dead flowers/plants throughout the property I guess for decoration?? There were no lamps and only lights in bedrooms were overhead flickering lights. The towels provided in the bathrooms were comparable to my garage/shop towels. Last but not least there were tiny ants in the bathrooms and kitchen. This owner/property manager didn't seem to really care about renting or selling this house which is a shame because it could be a great house in a great location. Vacations should not start out the way this one did.
