Summary: Overall, this is a great place with a perfect location - 2 miles from Pompano Beach and 1.7 miles to Lauderdale by the Sea public Beach and night life. The private beach is 3/4 mile walk. Publix CVS & Dollar Tree are right down the street. This is key if you've been to this area & understand the traffic coming east past highway 1 over the bridge 7 the traffic. This is a very new listing, with a new host, so some of the amenities and extras that we are used to staying at with this price point were lacking a bit. We felt maybe Lana should have waited a few more weeks before renting out during the busy Spring Break Season, but we live and learn. On first appearance, the house looked just like the pictures, newly remodeled, new furniture, awesome new appliances, but there was a screen busted in the patio area so that defeated the purpose of getting to sit outside without bugs. The pool, was listed as heated, which it is not, so we ended up not utilizing it as planned. There was also some loose stones right around the edge of the pool that could be unsafe for younger children. Lana has since changed the listing and the pool man was there 2x during our stay putting together quotes & a work plan. The outdoor lattice area is fabulous but the cushions for the chairs did not fit properly and made it awkward to sit. There are also no window screens installed yet and the curtain panels do not block the whole windows. As a a family of 4, we barely had enough body towels for the week, 1 hand towel per bathroom, no wash cloths and 1 beach towel total. There is a beach umbrella. If you like to cook, which we do for convenience and allergies, I would suggest bringing many of your own supplies as there was no can opener, spatula, strainer or large mix bowls. She has a fry pan, 1 sauce pan and 1 pot. There are only 4 total dinner plates. The garbage disposal breaker also kept going off causing it to not work. IF you plan on eating out or ordering in, then don't mind my critique on this part. The house and decor are beautifully decorated, the bedrooms nice and cozy with comfortable beds and linens. The master shower, however, sprays all over the floor. There is no cable but we knew that going in. In all respect, Lana was a great host: friendly, responsive & timely in her correspondence from booking throughout our stay and afterwards. With some minor tweaks and additions, she can make this a 5 star rating easily!
